Vancouver, BC – On February 22, Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club hosted the Louis Cayer Coaching Workshop. 75 coaches from across British Columbia were in attendance.

Louis Cayer is a world renowned international coach, and former Davis Cup and Fed Cup Captain for both Canada and Great Britain. With his extensive coaching experience, having coached 32 Top 50 ATP Players, and 8 #1 ATP Doubles Players, he brought incredible insight to this workshop. He was also inducted into the Canadian Tennis Hall of Fame, on August 6th, 2013.

The first half of the day was open to both coaches and players, and focused on the topic of “Enjoying and Winning in (Mixed) Doubles.” In the afternoon, Coach Cayer’s on-court presentation covered “Coaching Smart Singles Tennis Players,” which was open to coaches only. Additionally, this coaches-only presentation served as a Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) re-certification opportunity.

We were extremely fortunate to have Coach Cayer in BC. Tennis BC would also like to thank Coach Uros Budimac, along with the Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club for organizing, and hosting this great event!
