Tennis BC is a not-for-profit society that is funded by membership, sponsorship, government grants and programs.

Whether you’re an individual member or a club member, there are many benefits involved in joining Tennis BC!

Club and/or Individual Members are eligible to receive:

Club Insurance

Tennis BC, in partnership with Sport BC insurance providers, offers significantly reduced premiums available for member clubs, facilities, and societies. Coverage and premiums are effective as of April 6, one year to date.

Tournament Rankings

Tennis BC, in partnership with Rogers and Tennis Canada, offers a membership registration and rankings system for juniors, adults, and seniors participating in provincial and national tournaments.

Tournament Planner System

Clubs receive a license from Tennis Canada to schedule tournaments and run sanctioned events. By hosting sanctioned tournaments, member clubs have the opportunity to benefit from additional revenue, raise the club’s profile in their local community which in turn attracts new members and provides an added service to current members.

Website & Social Media Exposure

All member clubs can receive the desired exposure on our website or any of our social media platforms with the listing of club information, programs offered, upcoming sanctioned tournaments and ways to get involved at your respective club.

Event Calendar

Tennis BC coordinates and publishes an annual calendar of sanctioned and non-sanctioned tennis tournaments for players of all ages and abilities, including the Stanley Park Open, Summer Series, Senior Series, Junior and Senior Provincial Championships, Rogers First Set Tour – Rising Stars (U9, U10 kids’ tennis), Rogers First Set Tour – Rookie (novice U8-U16 tennis), and Tennis BC Leagues and Team Tennis.

Inter-Club Leagues

Tennis BC supports more than 3,000 league players throughout BC, hosts a Provincial Men’s and Ladies Team Championship, and year-end Celebration of Champions Event.

Coaching Certification

Tennis BC delivers Tennis Canada’s Coaching Certification, a comprehensive program that integrates coaching theory with specific technical information. The bi-annual Coaching Conference and regular certification clinics keep our coaches and instructors knowledgeable and up-to-date.

Officiating Certification

Tennis BC offers Tennis Canada’s officiating courses for those who wish to become certified Referees, Roving Umpires, Chair Umpires, and Line Umpires.
