In order for a coach to maintain his/her fully certified status, he/she is required to attend a professional development activity every two, three, or four years depending on his/her level of certification. This important feature ensures your coach is up to date with regard to teaching methodology.

Reporting directly to the Tennis Director, the Tennis Professional, in cooperation with the leadership team and coaching staff, will be responsible for implementing the Tennis Centre’s development plan. This position may also include teaching clinics, running adult and junior leagues, assisting, organizing, and attending social events, preparing records and reports, and promoting the game of tennis at the Centre.
The Tennis Professional will be expected to have excellent organizational & interpersonal skills. This position requires flexible work hours, including evenings and weekends, according to program or event needs.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Teaching private lessons, camps, junior and adult group clinics as required.
- Assist or lead the delivery of adult and junior leagues and programs.
- Perform all administrative duties required for areas of responsibility.
- Participate in junior and adult social events as required.
- Attend team meetings and assist with program development.
- Monitor and assist with the safety of our players / participants.
- Provide and maintain superior customer service to clients in the overall delivery of the tennis program.

- Assist in the creation of competitive opportunities (i.e., leagues, ladders, and events) to inspire participation.

- Minimum Tennis Canada certified Club Pro 2 or International Equivalent.

Reporting directly to the Tennis Director and Head Coach, the Progressive Tennis Coordinator, in cooperation with the leadership team and coaching staff, will also be responsible for implementing the Tennis Centre’s junior program curriculum while leading a team of coaches to employ this curriculum on the court. This position may also include training coaches, running adult and junior competitions, assisting, organizing, and attending social events, assisting with program registration, and promoting the game of tennis at the Centre.

The Tennis BC Hubs @ Richmond and @ Stanley Park are looking to hire two Certified Tennis Professionals at Richmond, and three Certified Tennis Professionals for Stanley Park.
The Tennis Professionals will report to the Head Tennis professional and would be available to run adult and junior group lessons and teach private lessons starting from April 1, 2023.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Current TPA Club Pro 1 certification minimum.
• Experience working with kids (5-16 years old)
• Solid experience teaching group lessons for adults. (1.0 to 4.0)
• Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Police Background/Criminal Check

The Salt Spring Tennis Association (SSTA) is looking for a coach to take over the Head Professional role at our beautiful two-court Indoor Tennis Centre. Tennis, indoors and out, has been an important part of life here for over 100 years. We are a thriving club of 200+ keen and lively players. The current coaches have built a vigorous junior and adult lesson program, ready for the right coach or coaching team to take over. This position might even suit a couple who would both enjoy a warm island welcome.

Qualifications Necessary:
- Tennis Canada Club Pro 1 or 2, or with Club Pro 1 certification in process (or international equivalent).
- 4.5 + NTRP playing level is recommended
