The 2017 Indoor Rogers Junior Nationals are well underway. This past weekend saw the U12 and U16 championships come to a close, while the U14 and U18 nationals are just getting started. Representing BC on the boys side at the U12 Championships at The Tennis Academy in Calgary, Ronik Sihota defeated the #1 seed in the Championship flight. The younger Sihota brother would go on to reach the singles final. Of the 8 boys in the U12 Championship Flight, three were from BC. Joining Sihota were Lawrence Ivanov and Stewart Bernard Aronson. Ivanov unfortunately came up against fellow teammate Sihota, while Aronson reached the semifinal and took the 3/4 playoff match to finish his 2017 U12 Indoor Nationals campaign in third place. On the girls side, Elle Raine Nielsen secured a spot in the Top 8 Girls Championships Flight.
At the U16 Championships in Montreal, a big congratulations to Luka Vukovic who reached the Singles Final and captured the Doubles crown! Jovan Sihota reached the semifinals of doubles.
