Rebecca Marino’s comeback trail brought her to the Richmond Country Club over the holidays for the Davis Trading Holiday Open. The former No. 38 player had a successful run at the Davis Trading Holiday Open with a 7-5, 7-6 victory against up-and coming local talent Jessie Gong. The 17 year-old fought her way through to the final with a three set upset over the No. 2 seed Alexandra Vagramov and a 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 win in the semi-finals. This is Marino’s first tournament win since she announced her return to the sport in September after a five year absence.

On the men’s side Carl Ho, Richmond Country Club High Performance Tennis Coach defeated Jack Davis 7-6(5), 6-4 to capture the title. Jack has also trained in the high performance program at the club until this past fall and is currently on a Tennis Scholarship at the University of Washington.
