2020 LEITH WHEELER STANLEY PARK OPEN CANCELLED
Following the guidelines and recommendations set out by our local, provincial, and national health authorities, Tennis BC is now officially announcing the cancellation of the Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open, which was set to run July 3rd – July 19th, 2020.
As disappointing as it is to cancel the tournament, our top priority continues to be the safety and well-being of our players, staff, volunteers, partners, fans, and local communities. With this in mind, we feel this is the responsible decision to help keep everyone safe during these unprecedented times.
We thank you for your understanding and look forward to hosting this event in 2021. We hope to see everyone at the 89th Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open next July!
The Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open is the largest grassroots public court tennis tournament in North America and is British Columbia’s premier tennis event. With over 1000 entries each year, the atmosphere for players and spectators alike is an experience unlike anything else, making the Stanley Park tennis courts and surrounding area a constant hub of activity.
