Coaches at the Tennis Centre – Coquitlam on May 26th.

BRITISH COLUMBIA – Tennis BC hosted two Coaching workshops with The Canucks Autism Network at The Tennis Centre – Coquitlam on May 26th and Oak Bay Recreation Centre on Vancouver Island on June 9th.  Twenty-nine coaches received training in supporting positive behaviours for children in the spectrum of Autism and other invisible disabilities.

Coaches at Oak Bay enjoyed a fun try-it session with children within the spectrum of Autism with the assistance of the amazing CAN volunteer leaders.  Thank you to Stephanie Jull and Carly Herman from CAN and Michael Loomer, Tennis Canada /TPA facilitator who presented informative and experiential workshops for the participants.

Funding for these programs was provided by last year’s Odlum Brown VanOpen fundraiser. Help support future Tennis BC Outreach Programs by participating in the 2019 Odlum Brown VanOpen Raffle. Learn more
