Lubbock, Texas – With her recent title in at the $25,000 Women’s ITF in Lubbock, Texas, Marino is on track to be back in the world’s Top 200. Returning to the circuit earlier this year after a 5-year retirement, Marino took the title in Texas without dropping a set. In the final, Marino won 6-4 6-1 over USA’s Robin Anderson.

Leading up to the event in Texas, Marino made it to the quarterfinals at the $250,000 WTA in Quebec City. Her first WTA event since coming back.

Marino currently sits at #215 on the WTA singles rankings. Once the rankings are updated in a weeks’ time, Marino is projected to be in the Top 200, making her the #2 Canadian in the world behind Eugenie Bouchard.

This week, Marino is competing at the $60,000 Central Coast Pro Tennis Open Women’s ITF in Templeton, California. Fellow Canadians from out east, Carol Zhao and Katherine Sebov are also set to play in Templeton. Follow the draws and results here.
