This event is hosted and run by Tennis BC.

Events: U10 (Orange Ball, 3/4 court, 24 players max.) — born in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

Date: Sunday March 22nd

Location: Tennis BC Hub Richmond, 10251 St Edwards Drive, Richmond BC V6X2V8

Tournament time: 11:30am-4:00pm (players will be allocated a 1.5 hour time slot, and will be notified of schedule if accepted into the event). We do not accept entries asking for specific match times. By signing up, players are expected to be available for any time slot assigned.

• Please read the Tournament Regulations before registering. If it is your first tournament, please scroll down to read the membership requirements.
• Payment of the $40 entry fee is at the time of registration.
• Payment is not acceptance to the main draw.
• Waitlist/reserve list will be issued a refund 1-2 weeks after the tournament.

Entry Timeline

• Opens: Thursday, March 5th at 8:00 AM
• Closes: Thursday, March 12th at 11:59 PM
• Acceptance List Posted: Friday, March 13th
• Withdrawal Deadline: Sunday, March 15th at 11:59 PM

Entry Process

• Priority entry for players’ first ever rookie tour, after this entry is a random lottery
• The acceptance list will be posted the day after entry closes.

Late Withdrawals

• Late withdrawals will be subject to no refund.
• Reserve list players have up to Sunday Midnight prior to the event to withdraw (if still on reserve after this time there is an expectation to be available and ready to play the event).

Important Information:

Support for Parents and Coaches

• No coaching allowed: Do not visually or verbally communicate with your child during their match to avoid penalties.
• No outside officiating: Line calls and scoring disputes must be resolved by on-site staff.

Eligibility

• Priority is given to first-time Rookie Tour participants and those who have only competed in Rookie Tour events.
• Players with 3 or more Rising Stars events are ineligible for the Rookie Tour.

Membership Requirement

• Players must have a Tennis BC “recreational” membership (free).

• After setting up your account, email a piece of photo ID (e.g., passport) to sly@tennisbc.org for age verification
  • Your account will remain pending until your age is verified.
