This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis BC. It is hosted and run by Oak Bay Recreation Centre.
Date and time: Sunday, May 10th (10:00am – 2:30pm)
Younger players will play at an earlier time slot. Upon acceptance into the event, players will be assigned a 1.5-hour time slot and notified of their schedule. Specific match time requests are not accommodated.

U16 (Regular ball, full court), born in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013

Acceptance list posted: Friday, May 1st
Withdrawal and payment deadline: Sunday, May 3rd (11:59p.m.)
Match schedule posted: Monday, May 4th
** Acceptance is by random LOTTERY. Not first come first served.
Entry is open for one week. All entries are equally considered up until the registration deadline, no matter the time of entry. The random draw will be posted the day after entry closes.
**Payment is made online AFTER acceptance and for the first 5 reserves. Any reserve players will receive a refund 1 week after the tournament is complete.
Withdrawal & Refund Policy:
- Before withdrawal deadline: full refund of entry fees
- After draw is posted on Monday: partial refund (minus $10 processing fee)
- Within 2 days of tournament start: no refund
Rookie Tour Match format:
- Compass draw or round robin, 3 matches guaranteed. If compass, the next match is determined by the result of the previous.
- Timed matches – (25 mins), regular tennis scoring – NO AD (deciding point played on Deuce).
Important Information:
Support for Parents and Coaches
- No coaching allowed: Do not visually or verbally communicate with your child during their match to avoid penalties.
- No outside officiating: Line calls and scoring disputes must be resolved by on-site staff.
- Priority is given to first-time Rookie Tour participants and those who have only competed in Rookie Tour events.
- Players must have a Tennis BC “recreational” membership (free).
