Tennis BC is excited to announce a new partnership with one of the best-known brands in the game: HEAD.
HEAD has been a leader in the tennis world since their launch in 1960 while Tennis BC has been leading the way in our province since six founding clubs created the organization in 1915.
For HEAD, it all started with skis back in the 1940s when Howard Head wanted to make a better, lighter, more efficient ski. In 1968, HEAD as the company was now known, launched a tennis division and introduced at the US Open, the first oversized metal racquet that utilized a similar technological advancement over the old wooden racquets.
It was quite literally a game changer.
The legendary Arthur Ashe won Wimbledon in 1975 with a HEAD racquet, and since then, many famous names have played with HEAD racquets including Djokovic, Sinner, Barty, Gauff, and Agassi to name a few, making history along the way.
