Leith Wheeler, principle sponsors of the Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open in partnership with Tennis BC and the Vancouver Foundation, are challenging the tennis community in BC this year. They are asking players, businesses and organizations to donate any unused tennis equipment to the Vancouver Foundation and have pledged to match the donations with brand new balls and rackets with support from Rackets and Runners in Vancouver and Head Canada. Leith Wheeler kick-started the drive with an initial donation announcement of $2,000 on the evening of June 29th, and has committed to doubling this amount should the community match this donation.

From the start of the Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open on June 30 until it’s final match on July 16, players and members of the community are encouraged to donate unused tennis equipment to the Community Youth Tennis Fund. Donated equipment will go to supporting the development of youth tennis at the community and neighbourhood level.
