We are 5 days into the 17 day long Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open already! The Davis Trading ITF Vancouver Championships are in full swing –  On Sunday, July 2 we had the opening ceremonies and the player BBQ. Shout out and thank you to Davis Trading for coming out to the opening ceremonies! Monday and Tuesday this week saw the first round of U18 ITF singles action take place. Richmond’s Jessie Gong (world #412) upset #1 seed and #174 ranked ITF player Imani Graham. Ontario’s Ariana Arsenault upset #7 Seed Chloe Hamlin from USA (ITF ranked #284).

The action continues on Wednesday, July 5th with more junior tennis and NTRP. The Stanley Park Brewing beer garden opens at noon, and Happy Hour is 3-6pm.
This weekend will feature the finals of the Davis Trading Junior ITF and the qualifying event for the signature Open event. The Open draws have now been posted.
