Since the Silex Canada Junior ITF Indoor Championships in October, BC juniors have continued competing and posting great results at the recent Junior ITF events in Canada. Following the Silex Canada ITF at the North Vancouver Tennis Centre, the juniors made their way to Vancouver Island for the Victoria International Junior ITF Tournament (Oct 17-22). Jessie Gong took the girls singles title, posting a win over fellow BC player Sasha Vagramov. On the boys side, Vancouver Island’s Aaron Diemer reached the semifinals of singles and captured the boys doubles title partnering Canadian Philippe Laroche.

After the West Coast events, the next stop on the Canadian ITF Circuit was at the Advantage Tennis International at Veneto ITF Junior Championships in Woodbridge, Ontario (Nov 1-5). Vagramov was victorious on the singles court where she captured the title, while Gong captured the girls doubles title. Following that, players made their way to the Ace Tennis U18 Canadian World Ranking Event 2 in Burlington, Ontario, in which Vagramov reached the semifinals.

Congratulations to all the BC players who competed, and a special congratulations to our stand out athletes!
