U12 & U16 – North Vancouver Tennis Centre (Feb 13–16)
The Indoor Provincials opened with the U12 and U16 divisions at North Vancouver Tennis Centre, where players competed in singles and doubles draws for provincial titles.
In the U12 division, athletes demonstrated impressive composure and tactical awareness beyond their years. Dominik Janusic claimed the Boys U12 Singles title, while Fiona Huang captured the Girls U12 Singles championship. Doubles competition highlighted strong partnerships and teamwork, with several tightly contested finals reflecting the competitive depth in this age group.
The U16 category delivered powerful baseline exchanges and disciplined match play throughout the weekend. Chi Shun Aiden Chan secured the Boys U16 Singles title, and Chloe Yuexin Hu earned the Girls U16 Singles championship. Doubles champions were equally impressive, showcasing the all-court skills and communication required to succeed at this level.
U14 – Burnaby Tennis Club (Feb 20–22)
The following weekend, the spotlight shifted to the Burnaby Tennis Club for the U14 Provincial Championships. This division featured some of the province’s most promising young competitors, many of whom are progressing through BC’s high-performance pathway.
Dustin Huang emerged as the Boys U14 Singles champion, while Tabitha Olivia Morisette captured the Girls U14 Singles title. Doubles play remained a highlight of the event, with Dustin Huang and Aleksander Yong Nygaard winning the Boys Doubles title, and Ruijing Chen and Angelica Panzieri earning the Girls Doubles championship.
Across all draws, athletes demonstrated resilience, sportsmanship, and a clear commitment to development, hallmarks of the provincial competitive structure.
U18 – Tennis BC Richmond Hub (Feb 27 – Mar 1)
The Indoor Provincial season concludes with the U18 Junior Provincial Championships at the Tennis BC Richmond Hub from February 27 to March 1. As the final stop in the indoor series, the U18 event represents a significant milestone for many of BC’s top junior athletes, offering both provincial recognition and valuable experience as they prepare for national-level competition.
Building the Pathway
The Indoor Junior Provincial Championships are a key component of BC’s competitive calendar and selection process. Beyond provincial titles, these events provide athletes with critical match experience and opportunities to earn points toward national competitions and Team BC consideration.
From North Vancouver to Burnaby to Richmond, the 2026 Indoor Provincials reflected the continued growth and strength of junior tennis in British Columbia. Tennis BC extends congratulations to all champions, finalists, competitors, coaches, officials, and families who contributed to a successful indoor championship season.
