Panorama Recreation Center this week is playing host to its 4th Victoria International Junior ITF World Ranking Event featuring 85 juniors in boys and girls U18 youth tennis action this week.
The singles Finals for boys and girls has been determined. In the girls Semifinals, number one seed Alexandra Vagramov defeated Maria Tansescu 6-4, 6-1. Vagramov’s opponent in the Saturday Girls Singles Final will be Jessie Gong who defeated second seed Rhea Verma 6-2, 6-2. The final will see the lefty style versus the speed and attacking style of Gong.
On the boy’s side, the second seed Razvan Baiant will face number 6 seed Niels Peter Van Noord.
Baiant defeated Aaron Diemer in a three set slugfest 6-4 in the third, while Van Noord defeated Justin Boulais 6-2, 6-2 in the other semifinal.
In the girls doubles final, Ashleigh Jacobs and Rhea Verma won by default over Sarah Maude Fortin and Jordan Ross.
Boys doubles final was won by Phillipe Laroche and Aaron Diemer in two sets over Zack Perala and Conrad Koch 6-4, 6-1.
