Regulations:

EVENT DATES and TIME:
• Friday August 5th 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm
• Saturday August 6th 8:00 am to 6:30 pm (Casual Players BBQ at 6:30 pm)
• Sunday August 7th 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

ELIGIBILITY:
• All team players must hold a valid Tennis BC membership-membership fee is waived.
• Any individual whose rights to compete have been suspended by Tennis BC or Tennis Canada shall be ineligible to play in any sanctioned tournament/event during the period of such suspension.
• Teams must participate with their existing rosters. One player who was a spare from a lateral team or below in their division of the representing club, may be added.
• Flexibility may be extended to regional teams on a case-by-case basis.
• This is an Adult NTRP event. No Juniors (born 2003 or later) will be accepted in the roster.
• All team players must be submitted and approved by the Event Committee prior to the event.

ENTRY, FEE, AND ACCEPTANCE:
• Acceptance is by invitation.
• No team fee.
• One team for each event is invited from the Interior, one from Vancouver Island, and two Lower Mainland teams

TEAM COMPOSITION:
• Minimum 6 players for Women’s events and 5 players for Men’s events. Maximum 8 players per team (2 spares for women, 2 spares for men).
• Roster must be submitted online.
• Roster submission deadline: Friday July 17th 11:59 pm.

EVENT DRAW FORMAT:
Round robin format – 3 to 4 match ties for each team

TEAM TIES, DRAWS AND SCHEDULE
• Draws will be round robin of 4 to 5 teams – 3 to 4 match ties for each team.
• Team ties:
• Women’s division – 3 Doubles: #1 Doubles, #2 Doubles, #3 Doubles
• Men’s division – 2 Doubles and 1 Singles: #1 Doubles, #2 Doubles, #3 Singles
• Some match ties start with #1 and #2 followed by #3 while some match ties start with #3 followed by #1 and #2 depending on the schedule of each division.
• Schedule will be available online by Monday, August 12th.

RULES OF PLAY:
• Match format – 2 tiebreak sets with 1 deuce scoring and a match tiebreak (10-point) will be played in the event of 1-1 set to decide the match. Modified match format may be adopted contingent on court availability and in the event of any unforeseeable circumstance.
• Warm up is 5 min.
• All matches are governed by Tennis Canada Rules of the Court. Players are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct as set out by Tennis Canada.
• Players are expected to be dressed and ready to play 15 minutes prior to their scheduled match time.
• Players without acceptable attire will not be permitted to play. There is no colour code at the Salmon Arm Tennis courts.
• Tennis BC event committee has the final decisions.

TEAM SCORE:
• 2 points will be given to each match won. Team score is the total points of all matches played.
• The winning team of round robin will be determined by the highest number of points.
• If 2 teams are tied with the same number of points, the tie will be broken by Head to Head result of the 2 teams.
• If 3 teams are tied with the same number of points, the tie will be broken as follows:
• The difference between the number of sets won and the number of sets lost.
• If, after this calculation, only 2 teams remain tied, the result of the head to head match tie played between the two teams will be used to break the tie.
• If, after this calculation, there are still teams that remain tied, the difference between the number of games won and the number of games lost.
• If, after this calculation, only 2 teams remain tied, the result of the head to head match tie played between the two teams will be used to break the tie.
• If, after this calculation, there are still teams that remain tied, then the order will be drawn by lot.

Code of Conduct for players, parents & coaches
• Players are expected to know and understand the Tennis Canada Rules of the Court and the Code of Conduct.
• Players or any persons associated with a player (i.e. parents, coaches, friends or family) are expected to give due respect to the host clubs, their members, officials, other players and any other person associated with the tournament.
• Misconduct, whether on or off the court, will result in penalties against the player and any Player Support Team Member (coach, trainer, manager, agent, medical or para-medical personnel and/or family member, tournament guest, or other similar associate) of a player. Tennis BC has a no-tolerance policy towards abusive or inappropriate behaviour.
