Sechelt, BC – The first annual Coast Classic Tennis Tournament took place at the Suncoast Racquet Club in Sechelt, from September 7-9th, welcoming players from the coast, the lower mainland, the Okanagan and even as far away as Florida! The tournament was a mixed double team format, and there was some amazing competition taking place over the entire weekend!
Tournament winners were The Middlepoint Tennis Club captained by Marian Shoemaker and the runners up were a team sponsored by Suncoast Racquet Club member Ricardo Sosa.
The weekend included a community BBQ on the Friday night at the Suncoast Racquet Club and a Dinner Gala on Saturday night at the Blue Ocean Golf Course for players and supporters of Hospice. It was a successful, sold out weekend, with the entire event netting over $30,000 for The Sunshine Coast Hospice Society!
