Office Space

Tennis BC is in search of new office space starting September 2019 to continue our mission of inspiring and enabling the growth of tennis in your community! Here’s what we are looking for:

  • 1000 – 1200 square feet
  • Additional storage area in the facility (for tennis balls, etc.)
  • One main office and multiple other offices
  • Location: Close to transit; West of Oak Street to West Burnaby and North of Kingsway
  • 3-year lease
  • Rent includes parking, taxes and the use of common areas

Volunteering Opportunities

Tennis B.C.’s mission is to Inspire and Enable Tennis throughout communities in British Columbia,   We could not deliver that mission without the tremendous support of volunteers.   Please help and volunteer for a variety to tournaments and events such as the Blue Shore Financial Senior Provincial Championships May 30, Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open July, the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open August.

2019 Under 14 Canadian Indoor Nationals

Tennis BC is hosting the Under 14 Canadian Indoor Nationals at UBC Tennis Centre from March 30-April 5th. We are looking for volunteer help beginning March 29th until April 5th. Volunteer tasks include: tournament desk help, drivers to transport players to/from the hotel/airport, controlling spectators moving into the viewing area, and other general help. You do not have to commit to the entire week or an entire day, we are happy to have volunteers for 4 hour shifts. If you are interested, please email Daniella Silva at dsilva@tennisbc.org.

2019 Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open

Take part in a local tennis event tradition and join us for the 87th annual edition of the Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open!

This year’s Leith Wheeler Stanley Park Open will take place from July 6 – 22 and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who want to experience the event action. Volunteers receive an event t-shirt, a meal voucher per shift, and an invitation to join us for the Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. Volunteer certificates are also provided.

2019 Odlum Brown VanOpen

Be part of a world class, award winning event and enhance the experience of top international players. The Odlum Brown VanOpen will be back August 12-18, 2019.

Volunteer opportunities include: Driver, Team Leader, Box Office, Info Booth, Players Lounge Attendant, Greeter, Airport or Waterfront Station Arrival Host, Court Concierge, Prizing Coordinator, Set up & Tear down Crew, Assistant Box Seat Concierge, Ball Crew.

Rogers Rookie Tour

Rogers Rookie Tours are one or two day entry level events for children new to the sport of tennis. A “fun first” environment is created for players to have multiple time limited matches. Volunteers help with set up/ take down of court equipment, supervising match play which includes assisting with score keeping, time keeping and clarification of rules. The Rogers Rookie Tour is perfect for the volunteer who wants to share their enthusiasm about tennis with the kids. Please contact jeannie@tennisbc.org for more information.

Safe & Respectful Workplace

The Safe & Respectful Workplace initiative supports the Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM) initiated and coordinated by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC).  The goal is to create coach led, athlete focused, safe and fun sport environments for both players and coaches that reflect the values of excellence, professionalism, passion, service and integrity.
